Pizza Punks Bottomless Brunch Review | Pizza Punks Liverpool

I’m a sucker for a bottomless brunch, and over the last couple of years, I’ve been to plenty of boozy brunches in Manchester and beyond.

On a recent trip to Liverpool, I wanted to try something a bit different from the standard Eggs Benny situation, which is how I ended up at Pizza Punks.

In this post, I’m going to be providing you with an honest review of bottomless brunch at Pizza Punks Liverpool. So, if you’re trying to choose from the countless bottomless brunches in Liverpool, this just might help.

Let’s get into it.

Pizza Punks Bottomless Brunch – Is It Worth It?

Pizza Punks at a glance

Pizza Punks is a casual, high-energy restaurant known for its build-your-own pizza concept and unapologetically bold flavour combinations.

Think graffiti-style interiors, loud music, and a menu that doesn’t take itself too seriously (or even remotely seriously, for that matter).

The interiors are pretty cool

It’s the kind of place where you can pile whatever you want onto a pizza without judgement – think buffalo chicken, black pudding, roast potatoes, and even IRN BRU ham hock – and that anarchist energy carries straight through to their bottomless brunch offering.

Need to know

  • Bottomless brunch at Pizza Punks costs £37 per person for one pizza and unlimited drinks for 90 minutes.
  • It’s available all day, every day.

Drinks included:

  • Prosecco
  • Wine
  • Beer
  • Aperol spritz
  • Coconut mojito
  • Drumstick caiprisma
  • Strawberry smash
  • Loveheart caiproska

We mainly stuck to the cocktails, which were pretty good – not watered down, not overly sweet, and, most importantly, strong.

You could tell they weren’t skimping on the alcohol, which isn’t always a given with bottomless brunches.

We also had a fair few glasses of Prosecco, which obviously went down a treat.

Food

Instead of a traditional brunch menu, you get one pizza each, which I definitely prefer – avocado on toast gets a bit old after a while.

Pizza Punks is known for its creative toppings, and we fully leaned into that.

Ethan went for the Birria Beef pizza (San Marzano tomato base, mozzarella, birria braised beef, candied jalapeños, nacho cheese, finished with pico de gallo and birria dipping gravy), and I opted for the Hot Cheeto pizza (white sauce, garlic oil, mac n’ cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, hot Cheeto bacon bits).

The birria pizza was unreal – rich and messy, with plenty of meat and that gorgeous tub of birria gravy (I had to try a slice, for research).

The hot Cheeto pizza was insane – I couldn’t get over the fact that I was eating hot Cheetos on a pizza, and the mac n’ cheese was a gamechanger.

Unfortunately, this pizza is no longer on the menu, but the ‘Nduja Mac Daddy seems to be pretty similar – this is a white pizza with mozzarella, cheddar, ‘nduja mac & cheese, candied jalapeños and crunchy bacon bits.

The pizzas were also really big, and cooked in the traditional Neapolitan way (well, as traditional as you can get with hot Cheetos and birria beef).

I absolutely rated them, and would definitely return to Pizza Punks for the food.

Our experience

When we arrived, it was pretty quiet – this could have been because it was an afternoon, but it wasn’t the rowdy brunch you might expect.

It did get busier as time wore on, but it wasn’t really a party atmosphere. I’m not sure if the other tables were participating in bottomless brunch, or were just trying to have a quiet lunch!

Service started off a bit slow, which is always a bit annoying when you’re on a 90-minute timer. We were waiting for about 15 minutes for the first round, and sometimes it was hard to get the server’s attention.

It’s also worth pointing out that your time starts when you enter the building, not when you get your first drink. I think this is a bit mean to be honest, as most places start the clock from when you order rather than when you walk in.

However, it eventually got going, and the drinks started coming thick and fast. I liked the fact that we could order drinks without having to finish the previous ones, and once our time was up, our server let us have another couple to make up for the slow start.

The Verdict

I’d say that Pizza Punks bottomless brunch is a really solid option for bottomless brunch in Liverpool.

£37 for pizza and bottomless drinks is pretty standard these days, but what makes this one stand out is the vibe and the fact it runs all the way into the evening. Most bottomless brunches are strictly daytime affairs, so having the option to book this as more of a night-out situation is a big plus.

The pizzas are genuinely good quality and feel a lot more exciting than your typical brunch dishes, and there’s a nice variety of cocktails (although I do wish they had some less sweet options). The slow start to service wasn’t ideal, but it did improve quickly enough that it didn’t ruin the experience.

Overall, I’d give this a 4/5.
